What do we Do?
The City delivers a wide range of services designed to protect our community from both natural and human-made disasters, including bushfires, floods, heatwaves, tsunamis, floods, and cyclones.
We actively manage fire hazards on City-owned and managed land, enforce regulations around burning periods and bans, and conduct regular inspections of firebreaks and fire-prone areas.
In addition, the City responds to emergencies beyond the gazetted fire district and addresses incidents that pose a risk to the safety and wellbeing of our community.
